the dockland area of the Langelinie quay was
part of the copenhagen free port. along the mole
were a set of warehouses for storing and
distributing goods. since the actual harbour
activities moved out of this area, its slowly
converted to a new urban area with office lofts,
cultural institutions, small industries and
maritime housing areas. the seaside of the
Langelinie quay is used as a landing stage for
cruisers. in summertime they perform a kind of
temporary housing on the water, on which the
equipment on the quay is reacting, in scale,
program and organisational aspects.
